Use the scoring guidelines in Table 2.4 and the examples of scored responses in Appendix A to score this subtest. Circle 2,1, or 0 in the column. Circle 2 if the sentence is semantically or semantically correct. Circle 1 if the sentence is complete and demonstrates correct structure and only has one or two deviations in syntax or semantics. Circle 0 for an incomplete sentence that does not have correct structure, a complete sentence that has correct structure, but has more than two deviations in the syntax or semantics. If the student makes five consecutive responses that earn a score of 0 (unacceptable sentences or no responses), discontinue the subtest. Make a note below the last item administered to indicate that you discontinued the subtest.
