The letter M says/ mmmmm?. Can you think of a word starting with the letter M?. If the child names a word beginning with M, say, " Good. Name as many M words as you can. Start now."(Start timing and write words the child says in the box for the appropriate time interval.) If the child stopd before the minute is up, prompt him or her by saying. "Keep going. You have more time." Only prompt once, but keep timing until the 60 seconds are up. Discontinue rule: None. Repetition: If the child asks or does not repsond within 10 seconds, repeat the directions once.
