Make sure that the Participant has a pencil with an eraser and place the Letter Writing page of the Blue/Green Response Form in front of the Participant and say, Please write your name on this line. (Point to Write Name line and pause while the Participant writes his or her name) The Participant may write their first name, last name or both, if desired. When the Participant has finished writing, say, Now, I would like you to write or print some letters for me. Listen carefully and put the first letter here. (Point to the correct space) Then dictate the letters provided on the Blue/Green Spelling List. Allow the Participant 5 seconds to write each letter. Either uppercase or lowercase letters are acceptable.
